Change a tab's URL? Shelf Nest re-evaluates and moves it to the right group.
Effective date: March 26, 2026What we collectAccount Information: Your Google email address, used exclusively to identify your account and manage Pro subscriptions.Tab Metadata: Page titles and URLs of your open tabs.Content Snippets: Brief, ephemeral snippets of page text (such as headings and paragraph fragments) and metadata (H1/H2 tags, descriptions) extracted to provide context for AI grouping.Sync Data (Pro Only): For Pro users, tab URLs and group structures are stored securely to enable cross-device synchronization.What we do NOT collectSensitive Data: We do not collect passwords, financial information, or form field entries.Full Browsing History: We do not track or store a permanent history of your browsing activity outside of currently open tabs.How your data is usedAI Processing: Tab metadata and text snippets are sent to our backend (hosted on Microsoft Azure) to generate group labels and titles via AI. For non-Pro users, this processing is ephemeral and the content snippets are not stored after a label is generated.Service Functionality: Data is used solely to organize your tabs and will never be sold or shared with third parties for advertising or tracking.Third-party servicesGoogle OAuth: Used for secure user authentication.Microsoft Azure: Used for secure hosting and AI processing.Data retention & Your rightsStandard tab processing data is ephemeral. We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The AI grouping feature depends on third-party services (Microsoft Azure, OpenAI) which may have their own downtime.4. Limitation of Liability
Shelf Nest is provided "as is." We are not liable for any loss of data, productivity, or damages arising from use of the extension.5. Changes
